Friday 4 October - arrive in Melbourne, impressive greeters, home to Taggerty

Watched a couple of movies on the last leg, and had a 30 minute late arrival at 8.10am. There were several other arriving flights around this time, so while the passport clearance was relatively quick, it was followed by the longest line through customs that I’ve ever experienced (I now appreciate the afternoon arrival time of Singapore Airlines, which misses these busy arrival times).

We were met at the airport by some pretty important people, in the shape of Her Royal Majesty (a.k.a Doug) and Mika, our Japanese backpacker who had been staying in our house while we were away, and who we were now meeting for the first time.

Doug then drove us home to Taggerty, while we relaxed and enjoyed the scenery for a change.
