Thursday 3 October - fly to Singapore, then on to Melbourne

We were up early for breakfast at the Copthorne Hotel. Interestingly, the breakfast room had the very same LED downlights that Jean Baptiste had talked about for the house earlier in the week. We realised that while such downlights might look good in a modern house or a hotel restaurant, they would not look good at 71 Rue Gambetta if we are to try to maintain the old-fashioned style we favour for the ground floor. So it will be back to the drawing board to re-design the lighting system. We then jumped on the shuttle bus back to the airport in time for our 9.30am flight to Singapore. I must have slept for most of this flight, since I don't remember anything about it!! As we went through the holding lounge at Changi Airport, I noticed that they had re-decorated it in Hawthorn colours in honour of their 2013 AFL Premiership in the previous week (-:
