Sunday 12 Aug - lunch at Bout de la Cote, Donald and Laura, on to Villeton
Up early to listen to Hawks-Port Adelaide game (won 159-87), then went back to bed for some sleep. Late start to go to Villeton. On the way, we saw the Penny-Farthings from Mermande again as they took part in a big bike ride which went along the canal towpath, plus some of the old motorbikes, tractors and vehicles on the adjacent road.
We stopped at Bout de la Cote for lunch. We had been past this mooring/restaurant several times, but it always looked empty. This time, however, there were lots of people having lunch (but no boats), so they must have been locals. We arrived just as lunch was finishing, but the friendly proprietor offered to make us a "little" salad. "Little" it was not! After a while we were joined by Donald & Laura who were on their way to Buzet. Both of us decided to moor at Villeton, where Rita caught up on some overdue laundry, and I charged the batteries and topped up with water. I spent some more time working on the AFL imputation algorithm.
Here are some videos of the Penny-Farthings and other vehicles going along the canal.
