Made an early start to get to Mermande for the start of the Festival and the street parade at 10.30am. Found them gathered round the New Fountain. Stilt-dancers, penny-farthings from the Czech Republic, historic bicycles and cars, farm animals, horses, geese, folk dancers and bands. Followed the parade to the main site in the market square. Great day with beautiful weather. Lots of photos.

We went for walk in the evening to nearby hamlets from our mooring near Pont des Sables, while I checked the results of the Italian Speedway GP on the iPhone. Oh, the joy of multi-tasking!
