2024

We spent a long time in France (and Europe in general) last year, after I discovered the benefits of the Freedom of Movement extended to "foreigners" who are married to, and travel with, citizens of the EU or Switzerland. So we decided to stay a while again in 2024, but not quite as long as in 2023. Given the good rainfalls in France last winter, we hope there will be less problems with low water causing closures of canals and rivers. So we hope to get lots of barging done this year, as well as a trip to Germany for a Seethaler family reunion, and some travel  associated with a tour of a  small band (Scotch & Dry) in which Rita plays. We may also go to Sweden on a business trip to see a specific Pyrolyzer in action. But the last few years have been subject to unscheduled changes in plans, and maybe 2024 will be the same!
