Saturday 13 Oct - Em 43, washing, windy, drying inside, cormorants, blog
Today was my daughter Emma’s 43rd birthday - sort of makes you feel a bit old!
Today I thought I’d do the washing, but as I tried to hang out the sheets on the rear deck, I found it was too windy outside (the lady on an adjacent boat was having a good laugh watching me try to hang them out). So I invented some creative indoor drying spaces, and hoped for the best.
The seasons must be progressing, because today I saw a flock of migrating cormorants heading south along the Rhone.
Today, there were lots of sailboats heading out to the Rhone, so I had plenty of time to get my camera ready. I do admire their skill, and confidence, in a rather stiff breeze.
In the late afternoon, I went for a walk around the port, but the wind was still pretty strong and uncomfortable, so I came home to the warm barge and continued blogging!
