Friday 12 Oct - sunny, windy, draft-proofing, blog, yacht, sunset
It started out as a sunny morning, but was windy, and got windier as the day wore on.
So I spent the morning draft-proofing the doors of the wheelhouse. Firstly, down the sides of the doors (left), and then across the top of the door (right). We’ll see how that works in the current windy weather.
After finishing the draft-proofing, I went back to blogging!
In the early afternoon, I heard a flapping noise outside, and on inspection found it to be a sailboat heading straight for the side of the barge! But luckily, they tacked away and by the time I’d got my camera ready they had tacked again and were heading back towards the next line of barges.
But again they tacked away...
and even worked their way around an incoming cruiser as they headed out for a sailboat race on the Rhone.
The day wore on (and the blog got more updated) until it was sunset time, and we got some nice views across the river.
