With everyone gone from Moissac, we took the opportunity for a sleep in and a very lazy Sunday morning. Our problem with the grey water pump returned, after the pump itself failed, so once again I resorted to pumping out the engine bay with the wet/dry vacuum.

In the afternoon, we headed off to the nearby hillside town of Auvillar, where an art expo was taking place. It was a very interesting afternoon, with all sorts of  artistry on display, including stone carving classes, calligraphy, felting, as well as the usual paintings and sculpture. My favourite was a coffee table whose surface was a mosaic created with small chips of egg shell in a variety of shades of brown (beautifully captured in a photo which is now lost!). There were also these lamp shades made from vegetable gourds, plus the local art galley owner was busy welding parts on an elaborate metal sculpture.

In the evening, we returned to the barge, as a light rain began falling. But it turned into a lovely evening, as the rain fell gently, we enjoyed a salmon dinner on the rear deck under the bimini, with cold white wine and listening to a CD from the Canadian threesome (10 Strings and a Goat Skin) that we saw at Festival des Voix last month  —  heaven!
