After the excitement of the weekend, Regina left Moissac to return to Bern, as did Peter & Kaye who were returning to Talairan before they headed over to Cornwall later in the week. Many of the boats at the Fetes also departed to head back to their home ports or to continue with their cruising. We decided to stay down on the river for a few more days.

In the afternoon, Nico dropped by to discuss storage options for beds and other items in the house that would need to be moved out to finish the renovations. We also reviewed the plans for the work on the garden area (verandah, rose arches and garage rooftop shelter) and for the top of the Lightwell.

Philip, the photographer doing some work for the Mairie, also dropped in to give us copies of the many photos he had taken over the weekend. The picture below of boats leaving port for the up-stream river cruise captures the spirit of the weekend well.

That evening, the band threw a farewell party at the house for Nico, Miyu and Massa, who were soon leaving Moissac for their trip to Japan to show Massa to all Miyu’s relatives and friends.
