My Dad would have been 103 today. So as a tribute to old people, we went shopping with Rita's dad in the morning (he is only a sprightly 94), and then cycled to Regina’s place in the afternoon. On our way, we passed the Bern Zoo on the Aare River, and saw one of Oscar's distant relatives.

Regina and Rita went for an Aare swim down to Lorraine Baths will I sat in the sun on her balcony and did some more reading. In the evening we went to Fribourg to have dinner with Rita’s brother Lothar and his family.
