Spent the morning reading, then went up for a drink with Dom at Au Bureau, where I also met his wife. Dom told me that Veronique at the Sunbeam had mentioned to him that we forgot to pay for pizza last night at the Disco Night (since we all did a runner without thinking when the heavy rain started to come down). So I went down to the Sunbeam, after translating “We forgot to pay for our pizza last night” into French on my iPhone, and paid for the pizzas for myself and Peter/Amanda after showing them the message on my iPhone (just one little trick when you are not fluent in the language). In the evening, I went up to the house and watched the SGP event from Latvia. The oldest guy in the race, Greg Hancock, won from two of the youngest guys, Darcy Ward and Tai Woffinden. Greg’s age (43) was equal to the sum of their ages (22 and 21), so sometimes experience does count, even in a tough physically demanding sport such as speedway.
