Sunday 17 June - arriving in Moissac after a long drive


Left Bern at 8am to drive to Moissac via Macon. Arrived in Moissac at 6pm, very tired. Next time we will stop overnight near Cluny. On arrival, we met up with Stuart Barry from Hilda May, and swapped stories about our plans for 2012. While they were headed off from Moissac in the morning, it seemed that we would catch up with them again later in the season. We had been winter-moored at the south-east corner of the port, near the lock down to the River Tarn. That night, we could not get shore power working to connect and power the boat, even with help from Stuart. But after the long flight and drive in the past couple of days, we just wanted to sleep, so we went to bed without worrying about the power connection. Good to be on the barge again!
