Tootled around in the morning, then watched the opening cycling road race at the Olympics with Frank. After the Swiss rider Fabian Cancellara crashed out while leading, I figured it was nearly time to leave Bern. So Rita and I set off to attend the 20th Steelband Festival at Cudrefin on Lake Neuchatel that evening with Sarah, Albon and their kids. We saw three bands from the UK (CSI, Mangrove and North Tyneside (playing Bohemian Rhapsody - with a great crowd reaction)) as well as numerous Swiss bands. Got lots of ideas for our own Australian Steelband Festival in Marysville in April 2013.

We stayed in a hotel in Yverdon that night to get early start in the morning.
