Thursday 16 Aug - last day in Buzet, lunch in Serignan, crepes in Agen

A misty day greeted us for our last morning in Buzet for 2012.  Said goodbye to all in port as we cruised through; we were both sad to say goodbye to people who had become good friends over the past couple of months. Stopped for lunch in Serignan, after finally getting a mooring (something we'd never managed before). Explored the town with the twisted spire on the church and grabbed a coffee.

It was a long day in the heat of the sun, to be capped off by the four locks entering Agen (which as usual were acting strangely, and required a call to the VNF). By the time we got to Agen we were buggered, so we gave up the idea of continuing on to have dinner at Chicken on a Bicycle, in case they had a cancellation. Instead, we went into Agen and found lots of small restaurants in the back streets. Stopped at l'Hermine Creperie in Rue Voltaire and had a great meal, and a nice Brut Cider from Bretagne. The waitress was very nice and she and Rita had a ball talking about all sorts of stuff. At the end of the evening, we were taken aback when she gave us two cider cups as a present. Amazing!

Woken at 3am by loud voices outside the boat. Turned out to be about a dozen local lads who just decided to stop there for a final drink for the night. Not knowing their intentions, I stayed awake till 4am when they all decided to go home.
