Monday 18 June - MicroGrid analysis, Dentenberg, deer, Barge Artz photos
Since we had no pan practice today, we had more free time than expected, so I spent the morning doing some MicroGrid Analysis, while Rita did some things around the house for her Mum, and then went to do some shopping for her.
In the afternoon we went for a walk with Mutti at Dentenberg (her favourite hilltop place in Bern). We drove her up there so she could then use her limited energy walking around the forest. We had only just parked the car when I spotted movement in the forest nearby. It turned out to be a young deer nibbling on some vegetation, but as soon as I stood on a twig trying to get a closer shot, she spooked and was off into the distance.
We then walked around various parts of the forest until Mutti found her favourite bench, where she stopped for a rest. Given the view I can see why she likes this spot so much.
The two Ritas then sat on the bench for quite a while, without saying a word (which if you know the two Ritas is quite rare).
After a while we took Mutti home, and then went to pick up some photographs from an old school-friend of Rita's who wanted to exhibit them in the Barge Artz expo in Moissac in August. We then went home to a light dinner with Mutti, who showed she had enjoyed her day by making faces on her sandwiches.
