Monday 9 July - postcards, EV, Fêtes, Villeton, power, washing, sunset dinner
After Rita wrote some postcards for her Mum, I went up to the Post Office and noticed that even in tiny Fourques, they had a charging point for electric vehicles. Makes our proposals for Taggerty seem not quite so mad.
We then made a 1000h start for a quick run to Villeton for more shorepower. After we arrived, Rita started work on the latest Fêtes eNewsletter, while I worked on updating the Fêtes website - only 1 month to go. Rita then cycled to Damazan for her mandatory swimming, while I finished reading "Grosse Pointe Pulp”, a detective story based in Grosse Pointe Michigan where our friends from last year’s cruising (Craig and Ginger) live. It was strange reading about locations I knew (from my many trips to visit them), but i’m not sure if they would recognise the characters and events depicted in the novel!
Since we had shorepower, we took the opportunity to do the laundry, and hang it around the rear deck - not overly pretty, but it sure makes the rear deck cool on such a warm day!!
The port restaurant was closed tonight, so we had a simple dinner on the rear deck as we watched the sun set - dinner was more than just the glass of wine pictured below!
