Friday 1 July - pinch’n’punch, painters, planting, art installation
In her delirium from the cough syrup the previous night, Rita mistook the day of the month and pinched and punched me at midnight, only to realise that she was a day early! So, she totally forgot it today and after waiting several hours to give her a fighting chance, I reluctently pinched’n’punched her just before midday.
The painters are nearing the completion of all the ground floor painting, which is just as well because we will need to start setting up the rooms for the Barge Arts Expo next week. Already two of the exhibitors have delivered their works, so we hope not to get too many more before we are ready to hang them, which won’t be before Tuesday after I have collected all the framing timber from Gedimat on Monday and made some more hanging frames.
In the afternoon, Jackie and Rita (who was feeling a bit better) got stuck into some more planting in the garden, which is starting to look much more colourful. However, there are still some gaps in the garden, so I suspect another trip to the market might be in the offing tomorrow morning.
I also got started on one of my art installations for the Expo; not finished yet, but progress is being made.
