Thursday 18 June - MusicZone, AFL, rehearsals, Julie, Iain’s 46th, late practice
In the morning we headed over to MusicZone to exchange a few of the items we got a couple of days ago; as usual, the proprietor was more than happy to make the exchanges.
I then came back to the house to watch the AFL game of Hawks v Adelaide Crows in an unusual Thursday night game. After a tight first half, the Hawks ran away in the second half to win by 29 points, 114-85.
Rita and I snuck in some more rehearsals, before we drove down to Toulouse Airport to pick up Julia Foletta, who was flying in from Frankfurt. We then raced back to Moissac because we didn’t want to miss the party at the Sunbeam Cafe for Iain’s 46th. Lots of friends had turned up for the evening, and it was a great way to introduce Julia to barge community life - she now has 20 new friends!
After we settled Julia into the house and had a good yack, Rita and I adjourned to the office/musicroom downstairs for a little bit of midnight practice - luckily it is well sound-insulated.
