Sunday 29 September - Sunday Market, M. Maury, verandah dinners
Up to the Sunday Market to get fish for dinner. The fish shop was closed, so got duck instead. Met M. Maury, the agent we bought the house from, who invited us for pastis/coffee at a cafe near the Mairie. Then home to think more about house renovation issues. Thunderstorms arrived in mid-afternoon and stayed on into the night, but still had dinner on the back verandah. We are starting to really appreciate the value of the covered verandah - we suspect that it may become our most used "room", just like the rear deck of the barge. Late in the evening we noticed an ambulance parked next door, and wondered who it was for. We later found out it was for Mme Gisbert, but was just a precaution.
