Wednesday 19 June - return to Moissac, dinner at the Black Prince

The rain stopped just before dawn, promising a relatively dry day for our trip to Moissac. So far, we have been very lucky with the timing of the rain, but I wonder how long that will hold up. Through the 5-locks at Montech in 75 minutes, so a good start to the day. Stopped at Castelsarrasin for lunch, where we saw Nick and Sally come in on Pomme de Mer. Had a quick talk with them, and found out that they were on their way to Toulouse to get Serge to have a look at a leak they have in their hull in 10 days time.

Then we headed off to Moissac. Theresa was duly impressed as we went over the Tarn River on the Cacor Viaduct. Picked up Christine who was waiting at the penultimate lock, then did a perfect sideways parking manoeuvre to moor in front of Moet Chandon (much to the amazement of the two Russians sitting on the ex-hire boat at the other end of the narrow space).

That evening we went with Stuart and Christine, Graham & Linda (Effie) and Roy and Avril (Summertime) to dinner at the Black Prince, a Hotel/Restaurant in Serignac-sur-Garonne, with a very inviting external courtyard. Looks like all of us might go in convoy down to Bordeaux later this year. Once again we were lucky with the rain, with it holding off until we had sat down for dinner, which we wisely opted to have indoors.
