Sunday 30 June - wheelhouse chair, Fado and Czech family concert
Up early (5am) to watch the Hawks-Lions game from Launceston. Hawks led comfortably throughout to run out 50-point winners. Then I went back to bed to catch up on sleep, while Rita went up to catch some of the Sunday morning concerts. We then met down at the Vide Grenier (flea market) by the Tarn, where we managed to pick up a collapsible stool for the wheelhouse, for the grand price of 10euro (after Rita beat the price down from 15euro). Exactly what we’ve been looking for for a couple of years, since it folds and can be stored out of the way by attaching it to the wheel with an octopus strap. This should make those day-long stints at the wheel much more bearable by being able to sit for a while and even steer with your feet.
Chatted with Jeff and Ginny (the two teachers from Cheltenham NSW) again before they leave tomorrow to continue their trip, then went up to the Fado concert and then to see the Czeck family playing a variety of music with violin and accordion in front of the abbey. Then a late dinner at Au Bureau.
