Vertrouwen came up from the Tarn and left port this morning, headed for Valence d’Agen. I saw that she has a new Mini on the rear deck (to replace the old black Mini).

Spent the day mostly updating the Kanumbra website. Got an email during the day from Rita, passing on a letter from Matt Davies about the International Pan Festival to be held in Trinidad in early August 2014, to which an Australasian band has been invited. Each band needs to have 40-60 players and will perform a Panorama Calypso tune of about 6 minutes. Lennox Jordan will arrange the song for the Australasian band, and Matt was putting the call around for players who could make the trip in 2014. The letter was discussed at the Tuesday night practice of Pans on Fire in Taggerty and received with enthusiasm. Several people are very interested in going, especially if they can combine that trip with the French Tour. Had a long Facebook chat with Lisa Nolte to find out about the interest shown by Pans on Fire players. Seems like many are interested, but we first need to check out the Trini politics surrounding anything run by PanTrinbago.
