An early breakfast at the Chateau and we were off for the day, headed for Brig. We went via Valence, Grenoble, Albertville and Chamonix, before we crossed the Swiss border and headed down into the Rhone Valley at Martigny. We then headed up the valley until we reached Brig around 4pm. After a day of visual overload, we were happy to check into our hotel, the Schlosshotel Art Furrer, and get some shut-eye before Emma and Rhianna arrived later that night from Italy. Directly opposite our hotel was the Stockalper Palace, which gave a wonderful view from our window. At 10pm we met the train from Italy, then went to a local cafe with traditional home cooking for dinner.
